Trekking in Kuari Pass

Kuari Pass is located in Garhwal Himalayas. Used extensively by the local shepherds, exploring this route is one of the richest manners to get a full view of the splendid Himalayas. Their imposing and scenic presence can be witnessed from atop Kuari, which literally means “a getaway”. The truly refreshing part of the trek is while walking from side to side the luxurious Himalayan meadows, called 'Bugyals' in the local language. The beauty and serenity of a Himalayan pasture is an experience no one be supposed to miss out on. The most extraordinary is the Gorson Bugyal, consisting of vast rolling green pastures. On this trek you will also visit Auli, which is well-known for its beautiful skiing slopes in the winter kuari pass.

Day 1: Road journey from Haridwar to Joshimath. Overnight stay at Joshimath. (Drive/ 260km 10hrs)
Around 6am, bring together at Haridwar Railway Station. Begin a long distance, uphill drive from Haridwar to Joshimath. Along the way, break in your journey at Devaprayag, to witness the holy flowing together of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers to form the River Ganges. turn up at Joshimath. You’ve the choice of overnight stay in tents/ a local guesthouse/ home stay.

Day 2: Drive from Joshimath to Chitrakantha. Trek begins. (Drive to Dhak Village 12km/ 1hr) (Chitrkantha trek 6km/ 4hrs)
Early morning breakfast force to Dhak village (12km). From Dhak we will start the 6 km trek to lower Chitrakhana. The valley opens up after mountaineering quite sharply to an suspended cliff which shelters a local divinity. The route enters progressively drier terrain, the trek continues to climbs to the village of Tugasi village pack lunch enrooted. Dinner & over night in.

Day 03: Chitrakhana to Tali Top.
A strenuous 6km trek (4 hrs) through lush green plants, mostly pink and white rhododendron flowers with Mt. Nanda Devi Mt. Doonagiri threatening in the distance, makes this trek an exciting experience. We will camp in an alpine field at the head of the Tali Top which lies on the North Face of Mt. Nanda Devi and Other higher mountain. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 04: Tali top- Khullar- Kuari pass and back to Tali (15kmTrek, 8 hrs).
Today day is extended day. Early morning after breakfast start trek to Kuari pass. First one hour is simple and steady till to the khullar place. After that you will start the climb to khullar top after traversing our way across the snowstorm patch you will reach the Kauri pass top. Now you will get a Jet storm there. Back to camp.

Day 5: Trek from Tali to Joshimath via Auli
En route cross the well-known bugyals (meadows) of Gurson and will also get views of the way leading to the famous Nanda Devi refuge, along the Rishi Ganga. It is a gradual fall to Auli down through woods and pastures and we meet our car waiting for us at Auli to drive us to Joshimath which, though having none of the elegance of its sister hill resorts, does have a charm and loveliness of its own.

Day 6: End of journey. Drive from Joshimath to Haridwar
Leave Joshimath early for your go back journey home from Haridwar. This will be the last leg of your trip to the mountain. Take along a large pile of memorable memories in this Kuari Pass Trek.
